Hi!

My name is Eline Jansen (born 1994). In 2024, I graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent, where I delved into all aspects of film: directing, cinematography, script development, sound design and production. I directed experimental documentaries and several narrative films.

My visual style can be described as dreamy, stylized, and colorful, with nature as the backdrop. As a DOP, I strive to capture the vulnerability of life in a painterly way. Paintings and painting have always been a huge inspiration for my work.

I enjoy the mix of working with a large narrative film team and the intimacy of a small documentary crew.

In my own time, I conduct visual research, incorporating painting and exploring the materiality and impermanence of film. More about my visual research → [link].
